A TORONTO COUPLE JETS TO SORRENTO, ITALY FOR A DESTINATION WEDDING FILLED WITH ROMANCE AND QUIRKY CHARM.
Sorrento Wedding Photographer // Going the Distance – When Nelia Belkova and Robert Dziobon couldn’t find a venue in Toronto to fit their preferred wedding date, the two started to look elsewhere—Italy to be exact. “A few years ago, when my girlfriend and I were travelling, we saw a beautiful bride being photographed on top of a breathtakingly scenic cliff in Sorrento, and I jokingly told her I would get married there one day,” Nelia explains. Sure enough, Nelia got her wish as she exchanged vows with Robert at Villa Antiche Mura—a gorgeous hotel with incredible views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Amid lemon trees, the two treated their guests to an intimate candlelit garden party filled with a few whimsical DIY touches created by Nelia. “For our favours, I ordered totes printed with the map of Italy, and I filled them with local goodies like Limoncello, lemon chocolates, postcards of the city, and fun moustache/lip props that guests could take photos with—all the guests loved them,” Nelia recalls. For their honeymoon, the two extended their stay in Italy (with friends and family) and travelled to Florence. “Rob and I have been there before, so it was fun to share the adventure, wedding and all, with everyone we loved,” Nelia ends.
